Wonderful, simply wonderful!

A more recent client/customer, the service is wonderful, and I know it will be a long-time relationship. I look forward to their full-service store opening in the spring/summer of 2010! If you’re local, this is a great place to get eggs, RAW whole milk (and other milk, but the raw is divine!), and fresh pork/beef on the hoof, not to mention fresh-from-the-garden veggies during the summer months!
Has all I want!

We hope this farm is always in business so that I will never have to buy commercial meat/eggs/veggies that are heavily loaded with chemicals.
What I love about this farm: 1. Quality goods (veggies, flowers, eggs, milk, meat, bakery). All home-grown or home-made, worry free. 2. Very reasonable price. 3. They are local, carbon foot prints are minimum. 4. Good people with good values. By reusing the plastic bags, containers, even the give-away clothing items, I don’t know how much wastes have been saved from going into landfill. Good people with good values should stay in business
The Best!

I was so happy when we discovered Duran’s. A family member had been driving to Pot o Gold dairy for months picking up raw milk for everyone and then they stopped. I was really sad and then I was told about Duran’s. I was so excited that not only could I get that wonderful milk there, but also the best tasting eggs I have ever had! I am so excited about them opening a store in the spring and will definitely be a loyal shopper.
A diamond in the rough…

As a born and bred city girl, I often found it difficult to find locally grown and produced products without some serious digging. I have since moved to the “country” with my fiance and our two daughters with high hopes of making friends with local farmers and producers to feed my locavore diet. While out on a girl scout outing with my daughter, a mother of another girl shared Karen Duran’s name and phone number, saying that the milk that they sell from Pot O’gold Dairy is fantastic and gives her the piece of mind that comes with feeding her family the best local food that money can buy. I called right away and am now in dairy heaven. Duran’s website is easy to navigate and the stand is conveniently located and makes it easy to arrange milk pick-up. I am anxious to try some of the other products that they offer!! Thanks Duran’s for giving us the chance to provide our families with the good stuff!!
my favorite place to shop
By: Laurie Laning (Nov 17, 2009)
Being a cheesemaker without a cow, I have had a time trying to find raw milk to make my product with. Yes, I can use pasturized for some,,but raw works so much better! The day we discovered thier little stand, was a very blessed day indeed! Not only did I find the best, sweetest milk for my cheeses, and my sons favorite, chocolate milk shake in a bottle (as we refer to the decadent chocolate milk), we also found a wonderful source for deliciuos seasonal vegetables that tasted so much better than the trucked in semi fresh things we were wasting our money on in the grocery stores! I love the idea of reducing our foods milage, supporting local business and eating well. The unbelievable part is that we are also saving a bundle of money! Their produce prices were more than reasonable. Yes, the milk is more costly than supermarket specials, but it’s also so much tastier. I have wasted money on store milk that didn’t procuce a hard enough curd for cheese and ended up either in a soup or down the drain depending on how bad it was. I have never had to waste the pot of gold milk. We have joined in thier buy a pig program this year for the first time. I have no doubt we will be satisfied. We have dropped in unannounced many times, and have visited with the pigs randomly,,they are NEVER in a dirty pen, or treated like anything other than royal pigs. The Durans work overtime to ensure the health and happiness of thier livestock. Let me end by saying that not only did I find the best farm stand that day, but I also found 2 new friends. I have never felt like just another costomer with them. I can’t wait till they expand the store. Bulk flour, spices etc. and I don’t have to drive out Chups! It’s about time we got something like that in our neck of the woods! Good Luck Karen and Blaine, and Thank You for all you’ve done for our community. Laurie Laning, North East PA
Excellent Customer Service
By: Lenore Skomal (Nov 13, 2009)
In addition to the excellent quality products at Duran’s is the over-the-top attention each customer gets. The Durans go out of their way to make sure that they accomodate the needs of their customers. In a time when corporate America, chain stores and franchises threaten so many of the honest, hardworking, family-owned businesses, the Durans have figured out how to set themselves apart from the competition. I am thrilled to be a regular and encourage others to discover the savings and exceptional quality of buying local.
Wonderful!

Karen and Blaine are two of the nicest people I have met. We ordered a pig last year, and another for next year. It was wonderful!
They also sell milk and eggs, as well, and I would recommend anything they do!
We love it!

We love to buy eggs, plants & produce from the Duran’s! The eggs are very fresh & I love that they are cage free. I bought lots of flowers & garden plants this year & they are all doing great. The Pot O Gold milk is delicious too. We go to the Duran’s farm on a weekly basis & my little boys like to come with me!
Best Pig We Ever Had
By: Dave Brown (Jun 17, 2009)
We Adopted a pig in Dec of 08 from the Durans . It was ready to be butchered the end of April. We had that done at Walters Meat Market. Everything tastes great! It will take a while to get this all used up but we will be getting another one when we need it. We live to far away to get things from the farm stand on a regular basis . Will stop by the next time we go to Erie. Great family to deal with!
Great Farm!!
By: Scott Campbell (Jun 14, 2009)
We have been going to Durans for over a year now to purchase our raw milk ( and the best chocolate milk ever). We have also purchased a pig from them and will never buy a store bought piece of pork after eating the all natural pork from them. Its a great deal to do by yourself or go in halves with someone else like we did. Your freezer will be full of all wonderful cuts and the most delicous bacon. They always have fantastic deals on their roadside vegetables during season and offer the all natural eggs, which we also enjoy. Its a nice ride to the farm and my daughter loves to go to see their dog Toby. They have made the milk purchases and the pig process so easy. They are always dependable and it is always quality and good for you!!
